At Muse Hair Atelier, we want to ensure that you're completely satisfied with your purchase. If for any reason you're not happy with your order, we'll gladly accept returns within 14 days of delivery.
ELIGIBILITY FOR RETURNS
To be eligible for a return, your item must:
- Be in its original packaging and condition
- Be unused and unworn
- Have all original tags and labels and lace attached
- Be returned within 14 days of delivery
RETURN PROCEDURE
To initiate a return, please follow these steps:
- Take a picture of the item(s) to ensure they meet the eligibility requirements.
- Contact our customer service team via email us at info@musehairatelier.com to obtain a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number. (don't forget to attach the picture(s) taken at step 1.)
- After receiving your Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number, Carefully package the item(s) to be returned, ensuring they are in their original condition.
- Include the RMA number and (a copy of) your original receipt in the package.
- Ship the package back to us at the address provided by our customer service team.
REFUNDS AND EXCHANGES
Once we receive your returned item(s), we'll process your refund or exchange within 5-7 business days. Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment.
SHIPPING COSTS
- Original shipping costs are non-refundable.

DAMAGED OR DEVECTIVE ITEMS

PREPARATION
1. Handle with care: Lace wigs are delicate, so handle them gently to prevent damage. Avoid pulling, tugging, or stretching the hair or lace base.
2. Choose the right products: Select sulfate-free, gentle shampoos and conditioners specifically formulated for lace wigs. Avoid using products containing harsh chemicals, such as bleach or permanent dyes.
3. Use a wide-tooth comb: A wide-tooth comb or a detangling brush is essential for gently detangling the hair. Avoid using regular combs or brushes, as they can cause breakage and tangles.
4. Use a satin pillowcase: When storing or sleeping with your lace wig, use a satin pillowcase to reduce friction and prevent hair from getting tangled or damaged.
WASHING
1. Wash every 1-2 weeks: Depending on wear and tear, wash your lace wig every 1-2 weeks or every 7-10 wears. If you wear your wig daily, you may need to wash it more frequently.
2. Use lukewarm water: Fill a sink or basin with lukewarm water. Avoid using hot water, as it can damage the hair and lace base.
3. Apply shampoo: Gently apply a small amount of sulfate-free shampoo to the hair. Avoid applying shampoo directly to the lace base.
4. Massage gently: Massage the shampoo into the hair using your fingertips. Be gentle, as rough massaging can cause breakage.
5. Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the shampoo out of the hair with lukewarm water. Make sure to remove all soap residue.
6. Condition: Apply a generous amount of conditioner, focusing on the ends. Avoid applying conditioner to the lace base.
7. Leave on for 5-10 minutes: Allow the conditioner to penetrate the hair. Follow the directions written on the product you're using. You can also leave the conditioner on for up to 30 minutes for an intense deep conditioning treatment.
8. Rinse thoroughly: Rinse the conditioner out of the hair with lukewarm water. Make sure to remove all conditioner residue.
DRYING AND STYLING
1. Gently blot excess water: Use a microfiber towel or an old t-shirt to gently blot excess water. Avoid rubbing or tugging on the hair.
2. Air-dry or diffuse: Allow the wig to air-dry or use a diffuser on a low setting. Avoid using heat styling tools, as they can damage the hair and lace base.
3. Avoid heat styling: Heat styling can damage the hair and the lace base.
4. Use a heat protectant: If you must use heat styling tools, apply a heat protectant spray to prevent damage.

DAILY MAINTENANCE

3. Avoid touching: Minimize touching the wig to prevent oil transfer from your skin. If you must touch the wig, wash your hands first.
4. Secure the wig: When wearing the wig, secure it with adhesive tape or a wig cap to prevent shifting or lifting.
STORAGE
1. Store on a wig stand: Store the wig on a wig stand or a Styrofoam head. Avoid storing the wig in a bag or container, as this can cause creasing and damage.
2. Cover with a satin bag: Cover the wig with a satin bag to prevent dust accumulation. Avoid using cotton or polyester bags, as they can cause friction and damage.
3. Avoid folding or creasing: Avoid folding or creasing the wig, as this can cause damage to the lace base and hair.
ADDITIONAL TIPS
1. Do not sleep in the wig: if you aim to increase its lifespan. Not only is it advisable to let your scalp breathe overnight, wearing your wig to bed creates excessive friction between your head and the pillow as you toss and turn, causing the hair to push through to the underside of the foundation or wig cap.
2. Avoid swimming: Avoid swimming while wearing the wig, as Chlorinated pool water and salt water not only dry out the hair, they can also damage the polymers or knot sealers used in some human hair wigs.
3. Regularly inspect the wig: Regularly inspect the wig for signs of damage or wear. Check for loose hairs, torn lace, or other issues.
4. Clean the lace base: Clean the lace base regularly to prevent oil and dirt buildup. Use a gentle cleanser and a soft brush to clean the lace base.
